How to Update NETGEAR Router Firmware?
Here are the few steps to follow to manually update Netgear router firmware on your router:
- Connect your PC to your router with an Ethernet wire.
- If you need help, visit NETGEAR’s support page.
- You’ll need to enter the Product Name or Model Number of your router.
- To access them, select Downloads.
- Choose a firmware release, and then hit the Download button.

- There will be a login screen.
- The default username and password are “admin” and “password,” respectively. They both pay attention to capitalization.
