How to Change the Jio Dongle Password?
You don’t need to worry if you can’t remember your Jio Dongle password or want to change it. You can do this by following these steps:
- Log in to the settings of your JioFi Dongle device by following the aforementioned method.
- Once logged in, go to the Network section by clicking on Network from the left corner of the web page.
- Go to Wi-Fi Settings > Security Mode.
- In the Network section, you will find the existing or default password of your Wi-Fi network. You can erase the existing password and set the new one here.
- Once you have set the new password, click on Apply to save the changes.
- You will receive a popup asking for permission to restart the JioFi Dongle. Click on OK. The Dongle will now restart and all the connected devices will be disconnected. You will have to enter the new password in order to connect again.
After step 6, your Jio Dongle password will be changed, and you will no longer be able to connect to it. Use the new password you set in step 7 when you reconnect. You can do a Hard Reset JioFi Settings to Factory Restore if you’re still having trouble.
How to Change SSID of Your Jio Dongle Device?
Changing the SSID on your Dongle works the same way as changing the password (from steps 1 to 6). In this case, there are 3 more steps to take after the first six.
- Log in to the settings of your JioFi Dongle device by following the aforementioned method.
- Once logged in, go to the Network section by clicking on Network from the left corner of the web page.
- Go to Wi-Fi Settings > Security Mode.
- Now, look for the SSID section. Here you will the existing SSID of your Wi-Fi network.
- You can set the new SSID here and erase the older one.
- Once you have set the new SSID, click on Apply to save the changes.
- A popup will appear asking to restart the JioFi Dongle. Click on OK. After the reboot, the SSID will be changed.
The name of your Dongle device will have been changed to the new name set. You can still use the device after giving it a new name.
How to Change Your Jio Dongle’s Super User ID and Password?
The first 6 steps are also the same for changing the Super User ID. But this process is different from the others because it has 4 more steps.
- Click “User Management” and then go to “Account” under it.
- At this point, you’ll see a page with four columns: Super User ID, Current Password, New Password, and Confirm Password. Your Superuser ID column, where you can change your Super ID, is one of your worries.
- Now, type “administrator” in the column that says “Current Password.” You can now change your password. You only need to type it in the New Password line and then type it again in the Confirm Password box to make sure it is correct. Click “Apply” once you’ve filled in all the blanks.
